It was also a cheap taxi ride or a perfect walking distance from Bowness, which is great for budget travelers.

My recent stay at the Cheerful 3 Bedroom Lodge was fantastic. The location was perfect for exploring Windermere and the surrounding areas. The lodge itself was cozy and had plenty of space. I especially loved the fully equipped kitchen, making it easy to prepare meals. The parking place right beside the accommodation was a convenient bonus. The lodge was nicely decorated and impeccably clean. The outdoor decking space was a great spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The proximity to the main facilities and the lake on site was a definite plus. I highly recommend this lodge for a wonderful stay in Windermere.

Drawbacks: Although the mattresses were a bit firm, they didn't affect my overall comfort. Additionally, the WiFi had some issues, but with so much to explore in the area, I didn't rely on it heavily.

wifi didn't work

Just returned from a weekend stay at White Cross Bay and we couldn't be happier. The lodge was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the open plan layout was perfect. The outdoor deck was a fantastic addition, and the proximity to both the main facilities and the lake was great. Plus, it's just a short distance from Bowness, making it convenient for exploring the area.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
